Personalized care defines the Expedition Therapy admissions process. We believe that participants and their families should be actively involved in deciding if our program is a good fit. During the process, our administrative team and therapist get to know participants and parents, collaborating to determine the best plan of action. We are here to help you every step of the way. The 3-Step Admissions Process

1. Complete and submit the Online Application and Supplemental Forms.  NOTE: We highly recommend that the prospective student complete his or her application materials. Simply click the green “Online Application” button below, then register and complete the online form. Next, download, print and complete the accompanying Supplemental Forms packet as soon as possible, paying particular attention to:

  • Treatment History
  • Medication & Dosage Form
  • Insurance Form
  • Health Form (completed by health care professional)
  • Boundary Letter

The completed forms in the Supplemental Forms packet may be either faxed to us at 916-644-8872 or scanned and emailed as an attachment to expeditiontherapyadmissions@gmail.com.

2. We review your application and set up an interview. Based on a thorough review of your application materials and all required documentation, and following a phone interview, we will promptly determine your (or your young adult’s) suitability for Expedition Therapy within one day. Upon arrival in Utah, each student engages in a self-assessment with his or her therapist to set personal goals. During orientation, students learn the basics of wilderness safety, campsite setup, backpack fitting and Leave No Trace® principles. Rolling admissions creates peer mentoring and teaching opportunities and gives new participants a chance to learn from their peers.

Average Length of Stay: Nine to twelve weeks

All-Inclusive Outdoor Personal Clothing and Equipment ‘Gear Package’: Additional

You Are Responsible For: Flights and/or ground transportation to St. George, Utah; travel insurance.

Scholarships: We offer a limited number of partial scholarships, based on financial need, to motivated students seeking to make a positive change in their lives.
